Simulator - Polyt S

Polyt-S is a Soaring Simulator based on the fuselage of an old Jantar 1 Glider.

The crew is building the simulator for use at PR-arrangements, and for cross country training. Simulatoren is going to be a Educational Mobile Unit - short - EMU.

The simulator is equipped with fully functional stick, rudder and airbrake, and soon flaps and undercarriage handle. Besides that, it has a instrumentpanel with working airspeed indicator, variometer and integrator. Soon also the altimeter will work. A GPS logger will also soon be available. The future plans for Polyt S includes Force Feedback and integrated glidecomputer in the cockpit. Read more about these plans and the more ambitious plans (motion platform) here.

The software we use is the best soaring simulator called Sailors of the sky [SOTS]. SOTS and the other software is described here.
